Noah and Abby’s story began in a very modern way: an Instagram DM. While Abby was serving in Nicaragua on a mission trip, she was supposed to join a team from Tennessee—Noah’s church—to help lead a youth camp. Before they ever met, Noah’s mom and sister saw a picture of Abby and thought she looked like she might be a very good match for him. After a little encouragement (and a lot of nerve), Noah finally sent Abby a message—and once he did, the rest truly was history.Or… almost.Just days before the team was supposed to arrive, Nicaragua made a last-minute decision that Noah’s team could not enter the country. Disappointed but determined, Noah and Abby continued talking from a distance. A few months later, Noah tried again—this time hoping to visit Abby at her mission school—only to find out there was an official hold on his passport that prevented him from entering the country at all. Nicaragua, it seemed, was not where they were meant to meet for the first time.Instead, Noah and Abby spent four months getting to know each other the old-fashioned way: long phone calls, prayers, patience, and a whole lot of trust. When they finally met in person for the very first time at Abby’s sister’s wedding in November 2025, it didn’t take long for them to know—this was it. What began with a DM and a delay turned into something certain and unshakable.The Lord truly works in mysterious ways, and this love story is proof that His timing is always perfect.
